Description
This image is one that I have returned to several times over the past few years as my vision for the photo has deepened. It was made on a bright morning in early April as a pair of Wood Ducks arrived to the east close of my floating blind. I made a few images and then the male spread his wings and made the scene spectacular. The sparkling bokeh and his backlit wings remind me of a mythical fairy or nymph - hence the title for this image.
